Wordbank Review ( WEEK 1)

News Review:
1) Ex-PAP branch treasurer, Peter Lee Yoke Leong, has been jailed for embezzling more than $78,000. He was supposed to bank in the money into the Kampong Ubi-Kembangan account, but he pocketed the money instead.

I think that he should not have done that because it was not honest of him to do that and furthermore, he was a PAP member too. By doing this, he had betrayed the members of PAP. He should have bank in the money and be honest, by doing that, he will not get jailed. This crime had affected me, my family and my community as we had lost our trust between Peter Lee and us for being PAP's branch treasurer. I think he should be jailed as embezzling is against the law.

2) World News: Ottawa
More than 1,ooo students at Toronto School were locked in their classrooms on Tuesday as scores of police searched for an assailant who stabbed a 16 year old boy. Fortunately, the boy survived by the help of his classmates who managed to call the ambulance in time.

I think it was wrong for the assailant to stab the young boy as it may kill him. The assailant should have not resort to violence and calmly talk things out if there is a fight happening between the young boy and him. Meanwhile, the young boy's classmates had done the right thing by helping to call the ambulance. By doing this, they had saved the young boy's life.

Dear Gera,

Great job. Way to go.
1) Good comments. How do you think the PAP branch could have prevented such things from happening in the future?

2) Great. Why do you think the assailant stabbed the boy? Is anger the problem? If so, what could a person do to control their own anger? If you have a disagreement with a person with an anger problem, what should you do?

1) I agree with you that Peter Lee should be honest if he do this he will earn more trust and not sent to the jail, instead, he pocketed the money. The PAP branch must be aware of some dishonest PAP and must punished them by law.

2)I agree with you that The assailant should have not resort to violence and calmly talk things out if there is a fight happening between the young boy and him. If they do this, the assailiant will not stabbed him and will forgive the young boy.
